Alexis' New Look!!!
Alexis got glasses and she is so excited about it. I started to notice her left eye going outward so I talked to the doctor and she thought Alexis should be checked out. Well, she does have exotropia and is slighly nearsighted in one eye and slightly farsighted in the other eye. She picked out Disney Princess glasses and has been doing really well wearing them. The first day was a little rough...but now she is really into cleaning them and leaving them on all the time. Hopefully she stays this excited about wearing them for the long term...
Merry Christmas to All!!!
We had a nice Christmas this year in Denver - no snow but it was chilly. Here is Alexis leaving one cookie and a small dixie cup of milk for Santa (she said he doesn't need too much). As you can see, Bailey was very interested in this cookie (all night...). Santa came...I guess I was a good girl...
Alexis got a Jasmine outfit from Santa...
Alexis asked Santa every time she talked to him for a scooter...and he brought one... We were out by 8:00 am riding...
Alexis got a Hannah "Patana" guitar from her Great Aunt Bernice and Great Uncle Craig...she played quite a few songs for us.
Trying to get antlers on Bailey...she wasn't too thrilled.
Apron from Nana and Pop Pop...Great Grandma had bought this last year so Alexis could help me cook in the kitchen...Alexis put it on when we were ready to make Christmas Dinner.
Snowman kit from Nana and Pop Pop...now we have the carrot, corn cob pipe and buttons, scarf, hat for our next snowman...
Alexis singing to her musical Christmas card from Nana, Pop Pop and Cleo...
Dollie with car seat and travel bag from Grandmom and Pappy...she her shopping on Friday (by the way, it was an absolute mess shopping on Friday...where was everyone before Christmas?)
A Very Marley Christmas from Aunt Michele and Uncle Kevin...she is getting up the nerve to go to the movie (Alexis is not too fond of movies in the theater but now that she has the book she is more interested).
Playing with her toys from Santa...a veterinarian set, and lots of Disney princess stuff...
On Christmas Eve morning, we watched Santa Claus is Coming to Town (Bailey wasn't too interested).

Alexis' school had a Holiday Party and her class studied Mexico. So they built a pinata and sang a song while they tried to break it open. Alexis did not want to hit it but she enjoyed collecting some candy...
Alexis with Santa at her school party.
Mommy and Alexis decided to make houses with graham crackers this year (the gingerbread house last year collapsed and it was very frustrating). These graham cracker houses worked great...just some icing to hold them in place and we were set. Mommy's is the front one and Alexis' is right in front of her. Mommy had fun with this project too! Alexis was more interested in eating the candy...

Nutcracker Ballet and other Xmas Spirit
Yes, last night we actually went to the ballet...we took Alexis to see the Nutcracker and she absolutely loved it. This was a new experience for us getting all dressed up and staying quiet for a full performance (she still hasn't sat through a whole movie). Alexis did a bit of whispering to me, but she never asked to go to the bathroom and she never said anything really loud. Eric was another story...he wasn't too thrilled and it was hard to get him dressed up...well, he didn't really get dressed up (Steelers jacket and combat boots)...as they say, you can dress them up, but you can't take them out...well, I can't even dress him up.
On another note, I was finally able to download the Santa pictures from Bass Pro Shop:
This morning, Alexis decorated the tree in her room...we made it from the trimmings off of the big Xmas tree in the living room. She was so proud...
And this morning, Alexis and I made gingerbread cookies...she cut out a few Mickey's and few reindeer and then she decided to make "worms." Mommy ended up cutting most and after the first batch came out, guess who starting eating...

Nutcracker ballet show
Disney trip - Part 1
Alexis and mommy just got back from an 11 day trip to Disneyworld with Nana and Pop Pop Schneck. We had a blast!!! The Christmas decorations were just awesome and we got to see so all of the princesses and over 20 other characters. Between my dad, myself, and the Disney professional photographers, we have almost 2000 pictures, so it is a bit hard to highlight things in this blog, but I will try. I say this is Part 1 because I don't have my dad's pictures yet or the Disney professional pictures...so I will add a part 2 once I get those.
Here is Alexis among the presents displayed in Epcot...
And mommy and Alexis in front of the Mickey and Minnie Christmas topiaries.
Alexis with her princess ears in front of the gingerbread house at the Grand Floridian. It smelled so good...
And Alexis for the first time on the ever popular Dumbo ride...this was the longest wait of the whole trip...30 minutes.
Alexis in Frontierland at Magic Kingdom...I don't think she understood what these really were...
Alexis and mommy on the ant in Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground in Hollywood Studios.
Nana and Alexis goofing around while waiting to eat in Canada...great filet mignon...
Alexis made a mask in China and then collected stamps and paper charms on the mask in every country.
We celebrated Pop Pop's 60th birthday while at Mama Melrose for dinner. He had no clue and they brought a chocolate Mickey cake...the hat didn't stay on for very long though...
And then there were all of the Santas in Epcot...we saw 4 different ones before she was begging to see the "real" Santa and Mrs. Claus. This one is Father Christmas. They all told a story of Christmas in their country before we got to meet with them.
Canadian Santa
Pere Noel from France.
Norway's Gnome.
And finally Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus...she went by herself when usually in the mall she runs the other direction.
We had a buffet dinner with Mickey...Chef Mickey...and we got to see Mickey and Friends.
Now on to the princesses...the first one Alexis met was Pocohontas so she turned into a huge fan of her...she got the outfit and boots and wore it almost everyday.
Alexis and Princess Jo Jo...I don't think Disney really considers Jo Jo a princess, but Alexis does...and she actually gave Goliath (Jo Jo's lion) a hug too.
The last princess we finally found was Snow White...she came up to her in the SpectoMagic parade too.
