More Snow and -19 degrees

Well, the snow has begun...and the past few days have been severe cold (down to -19 without the windchill on Sunday). That didn't stop Alexis from wanting to go outside in the snow for a short period. Of course, daddy and Alexis had a snowball battle and guess who won? After the snowball battle, Alexis decided to help shovel the sidewalk. Luckily, we still have all of our old, old shovels and we had a small one that Alexis could use. Then, there is Bailey...does not like the snow one bit...she digs in the snow thinking that she is missing a biscuit and walks under the bushes and gets all full of snow. She and Schnapps also did not like the bitter cold...they go out, do their duty and get right back in.
Here is Alexis with her first snowman...this was actually in a snowfall prior to Thanksgiving when it wasn't as cold to go out and play. We didn't have any carrots so we used grapes and an apple...kind of looks weird but it sufficed.
On Saturday, we decided to get our tree before the negative temperatures hit. We found a small, but just right size tree for our compact house. On Sunday, when it was below zero, we decorated the tree. Yes, Alexis just has a shirt and panties on even though it is minus zero outside...while mommy was cuddled under a blanket all day.
On Saturday before we got the tree, we did a little Christmas fun at Bass Pro Shops...Alexis had to try every ATV they had and every boat. She also saw Santa and Mrs. Claus again although mommy had to join her because she was a little timid...
