Mommy and Daddy's Getaway!

Eric and I were able to get away while my parents were in town. We started at a 5-star hotel in Colorado Springs (the Broadmoor)...this was our view from our room. Heading to the Great Sand Dunes...here they are from a distance

Clouds starting coming in so we started to head back...

On our way back to the car...it was an extremely windy walk and sand was pelting you from every direction, but what a sight to see!

Royal Gorge...we walked across this bridge, and it was a bit scary as you could see and feel the bridge moving...

We went to Cripple Creek and gambling didn't go so well...on our way out of town, we saw these clouds approaching Cripple Creek...neat views! I think it looks like a tidal wave coming in!
