A Busy Fall in San Antonio!

I know it is has been a while since I posted. Things have been crazy with commuting, work, and Alexis getting used to kindergarten. We have tried to do some fun things on the weekends. Below is a picture of Alexis with her face painted as a butterfly at a local circus. She really liked the elephants! We also ventured to the horse races. Alexis is standing in front of the pink horse, the one she always chose to win. Daddy and I tried to make bets on the stats but that didn't work either, but with a $1 bet, we weren't too upset.
Now this is what has been keeping us busy. Alexis decided she wanted to start cheerleading. With all of her dance and gymnastics experience, this seems to be the perfit fit for her. She is on the gym's show team so she doesn't compete but she does perform at the competitions. Here she is ready for practice (2 hours!).

And the morning of her first show, all dressed up, glitter and all on the eyes and a tatoo of stars!

Headed up to San Marcos and played the waiting game...we had to be there at 9:30 AM and she was on at 5:12 pm...so guess what we heard all day..."Is it my turn yet?" But overall, she did well and was entertained by the other performances and cheering for the other 4 teams at the gym.
Her team is called the Vipers and the show team is the Button Babes. I attempted to take pictures of their performance:

The photographer sitting on the ground in front of them did a much better job:
Got a trophy for performing...so proud!
And then it was finally time for that popsicle (or lollipop) that she couldn't have all day because it would mess up her outfit.
Have another show in 2 weeks and Alexis is so looking forward to Halloween this weekend...guess what she is going to be?
