Skiing at Eldora Resort...

Alexis has been wanting to ski for awhile and we finally had the chance to take her for some lessons...we went to Eldora, which is about 20 miles west of Boulder, CO...not very far for us and a nice small resort to start. She took a 2 1/2 hour lesson in the afternoon and she not only loved it, but she did awesome. She is ready to go back and ski all day...

Here are a bunch of pictures from this experience...look for the yellow helmet because the other girl in her class had the exact same jacket as her...

Here she is in the dressing and fitting area saying "ok, let's get this show on the road..."
All dressed, boots on and ready to go outside...

They started just walking and sliding in their boots...

Then they put just one ski on and slid around for awhile...
Then they put both skiis on...

Trying to figure out her two skiis...

On her way to the hill...
Standing waiting for help to get her ski back on...and mommy played with the camera a little...

Now she has both skiis on and it is ready to go...

First time down the hill...the instructor went down backwards with her...

He picked her up because I think it was the easiest way to straighten out her skiis...

Up the magic carpet to get to the top of the hill...

And here she goes by herself...
Going down the hill by herself...

Snowplowing down...

I thought this was cute...the boy in her class was helping her along...

A few times she told the instructor that she didn't want to do this run and she just wanted to rest...

Here is the best video we got...
